Dr. Krishna Prasad K. was born on May 25, 1983, in Mangaluru, India. He holds multiple academic qualifications, including an M.Sc. (5-Year Integrated Course) in Information Science from Mangalore University (2006), an M.Phil. in Computer Science from Madurai Kamaraj University (2009), an M.Tech. in Information Technology from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) (2013), and a Ph.D. in Biometric Fingerprint Hash Code Generation Methods from Srinivas University (2018). Additionally, he completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Srinivas University (2021), focusing on Efficient Intelligent Systems for Healthcare Data Management and Delivery Under Artificial Intelligence Systems in Healthcare.

Dr. Krishna Prasad K. has been in academia since June 2006, beginning his career at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Srinivas University, City Campus, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru. In 2014, he was designated as an Assistant Professor, and after completing his Ph.D. in December 2018, he was promoted to Associate Professor. With 18 years of teaching experience, he has taught various computer science subjects to BCA and MCA students.  From September 30, 2022, to December 31, 2024, he served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Cybersecurity and Cyber Forensics, as well as the I/C Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, Mukka, Mangaluru.

Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at A J Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kottara Chowki, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India.

Academic and Research Contributions

Dr. Krishna Prasad K. has a deep interest in Fingerprint Hash Code Generation Methods and Multifactor Authentication Models. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scholarly articles in refereed international journals, accumulating 679+ citations on Google Scholar. He has presented more than 50 papers at national and international conferences.

His expertise and contributions have earned him several accolades, including the Best Researcher Award (2019) at the International Conference on Recent Trends in Arts, Science, Engineering, and Technology, organized by the International American Council for Research & Development (IACRD) and the DK International Foundation.

He has served as a Board of Examiners (BOE) member for BCA at Mangalore University for six months in 2013 and one year in 2017. He has also worked as a paper setter and evaluator.

As a Research Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science Engineering at Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, he has successfully guided six Ph.D. scholars who have completed their doctoral degrees. Dr. Krishna Prasad K. is also an IEEE Senior Member.

He has authored three books with ISBNs and contributed to more than ten book chapters. His research contributions include 15+ copyrights granted and 14 patents registered, with a few patents also granted.

Dr. Krishna Prasad K. is an accomplished speaker and educator. He has conducted over 35 guest lectures in Vedic Mathematics and Shortcut Tricks for Competitive Examinations, catering to students from high school to postgraduate levels. He holds a Vedic Mathematics Certified Professional Course qualification with an "O" Grade from the Indian Institute of Vedic Maths and Abacus, accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) and the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Government of India. Additionally, he has delivered special lectures on ChatGPT and its applications in research, teaching, and learning. He has also been invited as a speaker for ATAL Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). Dr. Krishna Prasad K. was ranked #11 in Elsevier SSRN e-Library Journal Papers Published in the Last 12 Months as of June 1, 2018. His academic and research excellence continues to impact the fields of biometrics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and computer science education.
